Sorry to hear that. That's horrible! So many losses in a short time. It can be hard. Years back I was kind of in a similar situation with my Dad dying suddenly at work one day at a young age, a Brother in Law died of pancreatic cancer at 32 and a Brother in Law that survived Leukemia. I remember asking myself over and over during that period why everyone was dying in our family all at once. I can only imagine what a tough time it has been for you. I can say though that time does heal and things almost always get better.

Good to hear that job wise and financially things are going OK. A house? That'll keep you busy and like you said keeps your mind thinking straight with all those projects. A nice way to gain equity too thru doing your own work. I just did a roof and now staining the exterior which is a huge project. I like doing that kind of stuff and like you said, helps to keep ones head straight :)
