While you are right that investors are owed an explanation, it doesn't have to be either the end of Clipstream or the end of the Universal contract.

You've tried that line about the Universal contract quite a few times but you fail to appreciate that PlayMPE is bascally co-created with them, the reporting is integrated and there are network effects as there are quite a few other users. Cutting it loose would probably not be worth their trouble.

You've also tried that 17 years of Clipstream failure numerous times. Reality is a little more nuanced. The first Clipstream has little to do with what they're trying now. It was based on Java, not Javascript, that might seem a subtle difference but these are two different things altogether.

The first Clipstream also worked, but got busted by Flash as that was free.

The second Clipstream, based on Javascript can, unlike the first, do stuff that the first cannot so it offers some differentiation options. Yes, so far it has been a failure, you're right with that. The first version, based on their own CODEC ran into real world problems that have been discussed ad nausea here.

They are now trying with the HVEC CODEC. There are demo video's demonstrating the progress. Everybody can see for themselves what the viability is but a few things are not in dispute:
- It has improved considerably over the past year
- There is still room for improvement
- With time, the devices on which it struggles (older, CPU and memory constrained) will be replaced by newer devices with less constraints.
