Hi Gail! That was last week, I ventured back into the garden today and came up with more. Then, I planted another couple rows of potatoes. Hopefully, they will mature in the fall and keep us in taters all winter. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, eh?
It sure was hot today digging, tilling, raking, and planting those rows. Fun though!!!! I gave my neighbor a bag of onions, potatoes, and asparagus tonight. There is nothing like the look on their face.
This weekend, I was able to take a bag of taters, onions, and tomatoes to one of my heroes. He's a good ole boy that I worked with for 23 years before he retired this spring. His wife has cancer, and they've been going thru chemo in St. Louis the last month. He didn't have time to grow a garden, and was totally appreciative of what I gave him. There is no better feeling in this world, then to give. This garden wouldn't be possible, without some great info I got on I-hub. I actually have 4 gardens on my property.
