Great point, Alkaline!

That's exacrly why I said it could be immediate or it could hang around for a while. A big event like the SHM or an earnings release can put a hold on things and cause the pressure to build, exactly what happens to the market before a Fed announcement.

Look at the QSEP chart and see how that pennant is compressing at the tip. This is textbook, really nice.

If you're interested in this, get yourself a good book on technical analysis (TA). Nothing crazy at first like Elliot Wave Theory, something good and fundamental like Jack Schwager's book which I still have:
