Maybe ZJMY will let them use the battery tech as part of the deal.

Why would Chery and Long Star try to sell their own EV's side by side with ZJMY's EV's using their (Chery and Long Star's) bodies if ZJMY's EVs have far superior battery tech with superior range?

Chery and Long Star are business savy and will not want to see their own EV lines suffer. IMO, they have made deals on the tech. This way, a limited amount of cash by either party is needed up front for production.
