GlycoFi: Genetic transformation is, in most cases, very stable and inherted for many generations. It is true in yeast, mice and livestock. So the transformed yeast can be used safely for proper glycosylation of forein proteins. However, I am not too sure it will provide a bona fide protein. There are other modifications that may defect the function of a protein (acetylation, methylation etc.).
