Stealth Kyocercas always been a strong candidate to be a player and they do not currently have a spine portfolio for their medical division.

Kyocera signed their agreement with Amedica in 2013, began the idea of expanding their Vancouver RnD facility in 2014 and finally opened the new building April 20th this year. I have never believed this was a coincidence.

Coupled with Kyocera has been reintegrating a few of its subsidiaries back into the parent company for access to "resources". They did this with their semiconductor company, medical company, & their company specializing in solar panel development. There were a couple others but those 3 stood out to me as Amda tech oriented.

However, Kyocera lacks the global sales force to fully market and sell orthopedic implants. Their forte is manufacturing which is why I have thought thst a BO would involve some sort of 3-way between the companies with Kyocera manufacturing and Zimmer selling. JV perhaps or just exclusive contracts? Idk. Another possibility is Zimmer buys rights to medical & Kyocera rights to non-medical in a split of IP....could explain the long drawn out long-lived assets audit. This is out of my element for how this sort of thing might go down but if SiNi brings the possibility of Cybernetics in the future in would think a JV would be the best idea.

P.S. Sonny & Brian (CTO) both received their PHD from Kyoto in 2016.
