Chennai, June 7 (Asiantribune.com):
Close on the heels of successfully organizing the GTENSpring conference in Silicon Valley recently, American Tamil Entrepreneurs Association (ATEA), is all set to support yet another conference-- Tamil Entrepreneurs Forum (TEFCON), according to press note received by this correspondent.

TEFCON will be held in Minneapolis on July 1, as part of Federation of Tamil Association of North America’s (FETNA) annual gathering. TEF is a parallel event, scheduled as part of FETNA annual convention to be held from July 1 to 4. This year the Minnesota Tamil Sangam is hosting the conference. TEFCON is supported by the Federation of Tamil Association of North America in association with ATEA.
This event is designed to provide value for entrepreneurs or those aspiring entrepreneurs, executives, early-stage startup founders, graduates entering the workforce, or professionals of Tamil origin, said Vinod Pillai, chair of TEFCON.
Key speakers will be from India-- Ishari Ganesh of Vels University, Isaac Padmasingh of Aachi Masala and Dr Arcot V Kalanidhi, founder of VeeCare Health Center. US Representative, Raja Krishnamoorthy, from Illinois and Dr Rajan Natarajan, commissoner of transportation from Maryland are also participating in the program. Others include Suresh Ramamurthy, chairman and CTO of CBWBank, Subramanian Muniasamy, CTO dept of HR in Maryland state and Prabakaran Murugaiah of TechFetch.

There will be keynotes, panel discussions, TEFTalks and a pitching competition at the conference. It will bring together entrepreneurs from the community, investors, industry influencers and thought leaders. TEFCON will have sessions on education, health care, innovation and entrepreneurship among others. It will also feature startup education workshops and Tamil AmericanPioneer Awards.
At the startup pitching competition six to eight startups will be provided five minutes to pitch. Those who want to participate can apply at https://www.f6s.com/tefcon2017startup-pitch-contest/apply. The pitching competition was introduced for the first time at the Silicon Valley convention in 2015. It was well received, and was continued at the last TEFCON held at Trenton, New Jersey, and has been included this year too. Last year, besides Wall Street representation, a number of Silicon Valley angel investors, accelerators, private equity investors and venture capitalists were present. The TEFpitch last year met with good success.
About 400 people are expected to attend TEFCon. A large number of delegates from Silicon Valley are likely to attend.
