In some embodiments, the cancer is selected from the group consisting of pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, triple negative breast cancer, inflammatory breast cancer, esophageal cancer, glioma, stomach cancer, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. In some embodiments, the cancer is pancreatic cancer. In some embodiments, the cancer is a metastatic cancer. In some embodiments, the cancer is metastatic pancreatic cancer.

Anti-cancer treatments (e.g., chemotherapeutic agents, e.g., gemcitabine), can be associated with the development of invasive and/or chemotherapy resistant tumors. As described herein, prior or concurrent administration of LMWHs (e.g., M402) can prevent or ameliorate the development of said tumor phenotype.
