but back to the original context, I guess if you trade a lot seeing the level 2 and level 3 is helpful. It gives you an idea of where you need to place your orders. if your buying say 100k shares, you see where the shares are offered. likewise, you see if larger blocks are being offered for sell and at what price so you know where resistance will be hit. I could see that being a benefit for trading.
I guess that is why I never subscribed to those services. I do not trade that frequently, I hold longer term. I think I only ever flipped this stock a total of 3 times in the 5 years I have been holding it.
