Trade Monitor List question:
So I am under the impression that a stock must be owned in order to be sold. Also that it must be placed up for sale in order to be sold. Therefore is the people that hold the shares (group a) must sell a portion of those to people that are looking to buy (group b). So for each transaction there must be a buyer as well as a seller. If no one is looking to buy, then a seller will not be able to get rid of their shares, and if no one is selling them you can't buy. If this logic were correct, then how can the trade list on a given ticker categorize sales vs buys? Yes I'm new, I'm sorry. I can't find a good explanation for this online, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.
