Gator is right. I suggest people adjust their expectations.

For a LOI to turn into a signed contract in less than 4 weeks is extremely rare. Typically the process can easily take a few months and I've seen it take 6+ months on occasion. You have to understand that there will be red lines to the contract that go back and forth between the two companies multiple times, as well as ad-hoc meetings to discuss the terms. Lawyers go on vacation and then the contract sits for a week or two. The other parties lawyers no doubt have multiple contracts they are working on, so expect the process to go very slow.

The legal process at most companies is painfully slow. I've worked at 4 different companies in 3 different industries and in every one its the same. I would be shocked if this is signed in the next week. Its possible, but unlikely IMO.
