I think buy out is very likely at any time. Like you say their cancer drug is unique and a billion dollars to a lot of the big drug companies is chump change. They'll buy if they have reasonable certainty the drug will work, once phase one trials are over, if the drug is a success SBFM will be worth a heck of a lot more than a billion dollars.
