50% of freights goes thru the Southwest. It's a 300 billion dollar a year industry. The main lines are Burlington and Union Pacific. California alone collects 30 billion in tax revenue plus 100 of thousand of jobs. Nevada has no state tax. It's badly in need a jobs. The cost of doing business is half of California( tax deductions, cost of living, property tax, unions). Making a container hub for distribution in Nevada would make this company a 3-5 billion dollar a year company. The government backing is there. The job growth in a dead area is there. The profit taking from the big railroads is easily taken. Smart pivot by these guys. Good move.
