Hybrid Coating Technologies Inc (fka HCTI)

Several times there have been references on this board to 'Asian Paints' (India's largest paint co) and it's unclear (except for the earlier PR reference to 'an' Asian paint co) what might be the connection.
A Coatings World article back to 2011 shows that Asian Paints and PPG formed a business partnership:

'PPG and APL have agreed that PPG will lead APPG and APL will lead the new venture in order to best utilize the companies' respective strengths to capture the growth in Indian markets, including infrastructure development.'

If someone can make 'hay' of this in light of the loose connections here it would be great.

I seriously doubt all of this is enough to qualify as a 'connection' to HCTI, but perhaps it can lead to further confirmation. ?
