Yes, I had my traditional IRA with TD Ameritrade. I called them and they changed it to a Roth. I had to pay taxes on the amount I switched over, since there are no taxes on the deposits to a traditional IRA, but I still didn't have much in the account when I did that. The Roth deposits are post-tax, so I pay taxes on the deposits now, but never the withdrawals. I don't need the money now, and retire in about 10 years, so it doesn't hurt that I can't get to the money yet (unless I pay a penalty and taxes on an early withdrawal). Planning on lots of BVTK growth by then. smile (of course, I am diversified in the investments in the Roth)
