Of course it does. The more shares means your piece of the pie is smaller. That's common sense. I've seen it time and again. Companies with billions of shares do a reverse split to reduce the amount of common shares and make their share price more attractive. Then they issue new shares again diluting the value. The price goes down and shareholders who had let's say 100,000 share are left with a fraction of what they once which basically means they're left with nothing. Maybe I'd agree with you if I saw a positive cash flow.
