How is that deal going? Will it clear the Gov hurdles? I doubt it. Will the RAD Shareholders swallow it? Not likely. Greed does not always pay off. The original deal was fair and acceptable. Walgreens thought they saw a company they had weakened enough to stick it to. Now they will end up paying a breakup fee and limping off from the deal. RAD is damaged, but can recover as a smaller more lean company by using the map left in place to divest some stores or who knows, there may be a savior in the wings to buy on more favorable terms. Either way this deal and the corrupt management at RAD will be out the door soon IMHO.
