It seems like the economy will fare better with cheap energy prices. It seems like metals should be in higher demand with less capital being "taxed" by energy. It also reduces the production cost of metal as it is a very energy intense industry.

I am going to watch the base metal inventory numbers very closly. If base metals are being tossed out with Oil and Gas and the inventory of them keeps going down, we may get the mother of all bounces after 3rd quarter blowout earnings from the likes of EZM, HudBay, and RNO.

If I am wrong and metals tank for the long term, I shall always think they shouldn't have.
