Elmer: The compiler is a platform advantage though...

Whether AMD likes it or not. And even though they make the end note it is still not apples to apples. Under SPEC you are allowed to use the best compiler available. So it is pretty shady. And in the previous post I did misrecall the actual difference. It was much more than 20% apparently.
