In doing more research yesterday on my own, I see Tesla's batteries are currently manufactured by Panasonic. Sure most knew that already. It looks as if Panasonic is going to build plant in China and Tesla is planning on building one there as well per this was in yesterday's news threads they are getting very close to a deal. There are currently 2 large battery making companies ALREADY in China per below link:

I hope DOLV isn't another Cola trying to squeeze in competing with a Coke and Pepsi. IF the technology is "years" ahead of Tesla's, it sounds like these other 2 companies may be pretty much the same? I saw over 400 miles and quicker charging for luxury sedans and I know DOLV is marketing more the masses and affordability which may be the actual Niche that blows this over the top?
As far as the other link on Electric cars: China’s battle for the battery market, the link you had to subscribe to and it was from March. Right now either north or south Korea actually makes most of the batteries according to the article but China still controls the market. The growth is going to be massive and hopefully DOLV will be part of it.
The conference WITH government officials is what is massively exciting here as China clearly wants to be the dominant force in the electric battery industry. If DOLV has what they are looking for contracts will come HUGE and SWIFT!! They are not messing around and want to get things going fast.
If Tesla builds plant in China but wants best battery on market, I would think this could only get more exciting!!!
Good luck to us ALL!!
