How many times have you seen a filing regarding a merger before a merger/buyout was announced? I just found it odd when the 5/12 filing was made. What was/is the purpose of it? I'm use to seeing these things on the hush and only PR after the fact. I wonder if they did so with the sole purpose of getting the share price up in order to avoid a RS. If a deal is just about complete then doing a RS is a moot point, IMO. Why go through the expense? We will know soon enough.
