One step at a time, Warlock

Hemp is a variety of cannabis sativa, correct?

TRUE
______
Quote:Cannabis sativa. While there is an inverse relationship between thc and cbd, the two products hemp and cannabis sativa are not the same chemically which is why one is a prescription drug, and the other, a health fad.

Isn't the abundance of THC the main reason why "cannabis sativa", being psychoactive, is a prescription drug and hemp is not? Not that CBD has no medicinal value.

NO.
_________
Note: There is a drug going through trials with cannabidiol as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Results look promising.
ClinicalTrials.gov

I am conducting similar research in two states--there are issues.

____________________
That being said bring me to my next consideration; the inverse relationship you mentioned.
Mainly because those, along with other cannabinoids, have been shown to work together in beneficial ways.
So CBD works best with THC.

Within the sub strains of Cannabis sativa and indica--YES

Not so genecticly modified hemp. Nor ultra low THC cannabis.

The fallacy not understood and NEVER explained by the "health fadders of hemp"

________________

High THC sativa contains lower CBD and the reverse.. hemp having high CBDs has low THC.

An example

I grow Ringo's Gift 24:1 CBD/THC and the active component is 0.3% THC--So is the NC hemp 0.3%
YET Ringo's is regulated a medical drug and hemp in NC is not.
Is there no difference? You bet there is.

Splenda tastes like sugar. In fact there is only ONE molecule differece between the two. ARE THEY THE SAME? Is it sugar?

NOPE!

Seeing as they both work best together, and perhaps and a 1:1 ratio, would it not be best for pharmaceutical companies to use the two varieties of plants together?

1:1 ratio would be WAY too high (no pun intended) for non psychoactive medication.

The point is to express the CBD without genetic change, and leave the THC behind. This is NOT for all treatment's, just those where the patient needs to operate without impairment.

In many cases--cancer for one, the THC is an essential part of what takes that medicine work in the first place.

If they used just the high THC plant and not hemp then we are left over with an abundance of THC. So why not fill the void with CBDs from hemp?

That's the general question, isn't it ;)~

Also, seeing as CBDs work better with THC, then wouldn't this "health fad" become less of a fad if the consumer also partook in recreational/medical marijuana?

Loaded question but OK. Recreational has impairment factors.
Now as to medicine. I'll let you in on something most don't know yet. We think there may well be over 100 canabanoids in Cannabis sative and indica. Occurring naturally--although we have identified only 11 as of yesterday. We believe these can be "tuned" for a lack of a better term here, targeted. Are those SAME cannabanoids growing in NC right now? NO
Think gold and pyrite. Think clay ceramics and superconductive ceramics.
Don't get lost in the nomenclature.

______________

Even if cannabidiol is just a health fad that doesn't rule out profitability and success. I believe health fads can rake in plenty of green.

TRUE

And everybody and there brother is doing it--and not ONE of them--not any of them --- bilked $50,000,000 out of investors to do it. If that is what you are interested in--import it--better mark-up.
