You think that if you practice something 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week you might get really good at it? Especially if you get it wrong you're going to get stabbed with a needle. Are the other professions doing it 8 hrs a day? Are they going to get stabbed with a needle?

What this study shows is that with practice you can change the brain and enhance it's abilities. IQ tests test the ability to differentiate, to be able to tell the difference between things. It's a timed test. You think with practice you could get better and faster at being able to tell the difference? For me it took about 10 yrs of practice to get into the 1% club. That was 25 yrs ago. You can get astoundingly fast.

These researchers probably don't realize that their study verified that with practice you can increase your IQ. I love looking at other peoples data to see what they missed.

Dressmakers found to have needle-sharp 3-D vision

Date: June 14, 2017

Stereoscopic vision is the brain's ability to decode the flat 2D optical information received by both eyes to give us the depth of perception needed to thread a needle, catch a ball, park a car and generally navigate a 3D world.

Using computerized perceptual tasks, researchers from UC Berkeley and the University of Geneva, Switzerland, tested the stereoscopic vision of dressmakers and other professionals, and found dressmakers to be the most eagle-eyed.
