Many people don't understand cryptocurrency so they only know about bitcoin because it's the one that they hear off most often. They think that if it's not bitcoin, it's not a legitimate cryptocurrency. It's very untrue and like saying that the euro, yen, renminbi, or other currencies must be junk because they're not dollars.
