Sardine spawning off the coast of Peru generally ends in April. Sardines dominate the coast of Peru and others as well. Sardines feed on phytoplankton and small zooplankton and do very well in warm waters. As global warming continues to heat up sardines will continue to spawn in bigger numbers. Time will tell.
