This win-win news is REALLY important. "Centers of Robotic Excellence" This essentially means that Ekso will need to hire less physical therapists to train centers on how to use their device if these centers lead the way and offer to teach others themselves.

It simultaneously gives some rationale for the 25% worker force cut while also serving as 'free labor'. The hospitals are willing to do this work for EKSO because their already invested having the device and traubed PT's, so they want to maximize their profits. So EKSO is outsourcing the labor to the hospitals, but that's actually the best possible situation - especially if they want to get the device recognized by insurance companies. I'm not a insurance guru, but I would guess the insurance companies basically listen to the heads of major hospitals in terms of what's necessary for healthcare. So when Barrow makes statements like this, it means something.

"Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is the world's largest dedicated neurosurgical center and a leader in neurosurgical training, research, and patient care.[2] "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrow_Neurological_Institute

This allows the hospital to advertise their 'robotic excellence' with credentials and also them to charge money to teach other centers how to use the devices. It's a win-win.
