Bids can be a lot bigger than what is showing on the bid ask. For instance many brokerages allow you to choose what you as the buyer show as your bid number even if you are buying much more than what is showing at that bid. For instance someone could be trying to buy 500 thousand shares at a price point, but they can change the settings so it only looks like there is 1000 on the bid even though there is really 500000 on the bid.

Looks like that is what is happening right now.

Make em chase, slap the ask all day long.
