June 12-I walked up the drive this morning expecting never again be greeted by CC the Calico Cat. But there she was, waiting under the asparagus bed. She meowed me good morning and asked for a rub before heading for the feeding station. This time, she ate the solid food. She followed me into the garden beds, looking for birds, hung around a little while then disappeared. She does this during summertime weather. There must be a relatively cool spot where she spends all afternoon napping. She appeared for lunch, ate a little more. I took the bus to the Harris Teeter for some wet food. She ate the entire can. And then some dry food. She sat on her chair and pulled at the wadding from the pillow. She purrs when she does it. Then she settled down and stroked her until she decided it was time for a nap under the umbrella. The only thing I can figure is yesterday she was simply having a bad day.
Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
