As the Chinese market absorbs foreign brands, it makes sense that Chinese people will buy foreign for 'status' and quality but for exactly those reasons, Chinese cars will improve in quality and style to gain market share. Then comes the Chinese Government and the rules being imposed due to environmental issues. And, on both fronts, Chery has already got a strong toehold

There was a time that Korean cars suffered a poor reputation in the USA and Hyundai, for example, was regarded as very cheap and unreliable. That seems to be turning around for them, much to their credit. That was once true for Honda and Volkswagen as well, believe it or not.

We are in at the beginning of something here, ladies and germs, and while the Chinese car market is crowded with competition and every car maker in the world is drooling over China, Electric Vehicles are the future. We have to trust that the boots on the ground in China are astute, the science is in our favor and it is a new day. Batteries are the key ingredient and, if we can believe our mountain of DD, we stand in good stead. But we are still gathering before the starting line.

DOLV as a ticker is soon to be forgotten. It is not a matter of 'IF', the question is 'WHEN' and once this 'first' step happens, it will be ground for a second step. Then a third and a fourth and so on. And momentum will pick up fast. It is an exciting time, which is why there is so much buzz here. But it is only going to get more exciting, if you ask me.

Check back in August!
