The RV Hispaniola is tied up in the Ocean World Marina in Puerta Plata Dominican Republic. (six years) The ship was put under legal lien by a Dominican maritime lawyer representing numerous unpaid plaintiff's with Webber and all divers included. The lawyer eventually won the case but then bought the ship from the courts for a song and didn't sell it to compensate the plaintiff's. Actually, what he didn't realize was the ship couldn't be sold or moved because; 1.) The ship is renegade and can't be re-flagged (registered) because its a U.S. flagged vessel with an international load line registered with the U.S. Coast Guard and (ABS) American Bureau of Ships. Under ABS by law requirements, the ship has to be inspected annually and every three years be put into dry dock for hull inspection. MEXP (Goldberg) as owner was obligated to meet these requirements which did not happen since 2008. The ship is long out of registry and legally, MEXP/INOH (Goldberg) stands libel with exorbitant fines pending. Webber in written form warned Goldberg of this situation and the consequences but all was ignored. 2.) The dockage bill at the Ocean World Marina (up to the time Goldberg lost the ship) to the Dominican lawyer was around $250,000.00 U.S. dollars. Apparently the lawyer was one brick short of a load as well because the ship cannot be moved without payment and furthermore, it cannot be moved with out proper documentation which it no longer has. (For clarity of who's libel, again read the Goldberg signed "Letter of Indemnity").

The ships hull is in very poor and dangerous condition (aluminum without anode replacements in years). The Dominican Navy was taking it over the last I heard but once realizing all the above explained complications and the dock bill due, backed off. I haven't spoken to the marina dock master in near a year now. So that's how business man scam man Goldberg lost the ship which probably this Stryker Family took the financial loss for.
