No one should disagree with the need to reduce the use of opioids and to wean Americans from this horrible addiction to pain killers. There is every reason to deal with this problem that now seems to be epidemic in scale throughout the country.

The problem we have here at itsy bitsy Calamre is has to do with two issues:
1) No one one seems to know much about the company and even less about the device
2) no one has, like it or not, been able to definitively prove that the Calmare device is an effective and reliable alternative.

You will, of course, argue the second point, but for all these minor and very specific studies that you quote or cite incessantly from Hopkins, Mayo, Virginia, or MD Anderson, there does not seem to be a groundswell for adoption of the device to the extent that lines should be forming outside the darkened HQ in CT to buy, try, or use the machine on a wide scale.

Why is that the fact? Is it because big pharms are quashing good news? Is it because the evidence is not sufficiently robust and definitive? Or is it because doubts still exist?

Now I turn to point #1 and the absence of notoriety. Why is that? Why after, according to you, at least 7 years, no one seems ready to grab the device and run with it on the scale we might imagine?

One answer is management (Maybe, in fact that may be the first ten answers) The present CEO and his predecessors have failed to bring this device to the attention of the persons who matter or who could take necessary steps to make this all happen. It would seem, as long as they get paid monthly, as long as the BoD does not care and accepts this company as a tax write-off, nothing will happen.

We are probably closer to BK than to success. The lawsuits will not prove to be good news for the company and the shareholders. Mir will skip off into the sunset, much like Nano and those between and before. The Koreans may find that one or two of the present device owners will come to them for new machines or parts and they may try to resurrect the firm. The researchers will go on their merry way. Maybe a clever person will try to approach a large drug company and make a pitch, but will they buy and market or bury it along with the 200mph carburator or equivalents?
