No matter what - they will need a partner.

If the drug shows good results in this trial - BP will need them and other pipeline products may not matter as BP will just buy them

(See Anacor was bought by Pfizer for $5.2 B. Compared to that NASH is very promising area with clear unmet demands and no available treatments.

Even if they decide to go alone - it will be tough - look at ACAD - without a BP partner - they are struggling in marketing the product and absorbing marketing cost.
