I know that's the way it's supposed to work Maven, but I think the SEC's been "deep captured" to the extent that they just won't prosecute illegal naked shorting, even with the most obvious of evidence. Moreover, the absolutely arkane way in which short sales are reported, even with the digital capability we have today, even makes me more certain that the regulatory agency is now part of the problem. Then there's the grandfathering in of untold numbers of FTD naked short sales when Reg. SHO was enacted. I just don't have any confidence in the SEC to fight the hedge funds and crooked MM's and their CE's (Colluding Entities - credit to 4kids), on the naked SS issue. Color me jaded...
