Robert Putnum's hasty unexplained departure in 2010 and the pending Markman ruling led EDIG to come up with their "EDIG Innovations Group" PR which merely shuffled a few employee titles around, did nothing and was subsequently disbanded or simply never spoken of again. I felt was EDIGs attempt to deflect from RP departure and stem the bleeding in case there was a Markman loss which there was. EDIG could then say oh we lost but look at this SHINY new thing! It was one of many things that made me question EDIG as being anything more than a possibly momentum play. RP went to another Woody Norris company, ATCO (which became LRAD), for a few years and then probably retired. All above in my opinion.
