My hype for simple cork is this: I will us the Heinz Ketchup glass bottle as a reference. It was the only way to get that kind of ketchup for decades. Than some one designed the plastic no drip bottle. Than almost everyone starting buying it as it was the easier way to get your ketchup out of the bottle without a mess.
Now to simple cork. The cork in a wine bottle has been pretty much the same thing for decades like the Heinz ketchup glass bottle. The simple cork is brilliant! It has a built in cork opener with handles and doesn't fall apart where pieces of the cork can fall into the bottle. Another advantage is, it is reusable. Will simple cork be the preferred wine cork of the future? Will every bottling company want this? I think they will and I am betting big on it.
