Well, I found this, so it really could be next week since the company announced the reverse merger on April 6 (60 days = June 5, I believe):

Yes, FINRA will not process a voluntary symbol request if the issuer has either an announced corporate action or a symbol change within the past 60 days.

There is no ramification, except the wait is likely over.. unless you're talking about the otcmarkets 60 day window to release financials. But there's no ramifications to that really, other than a stop sign.
