Regarding the sound level, if it is too loud for you grinding while music is on, or watching a movie, of just being in a quiet room, why not be creative and just wrap a kitchen towel around it while you push the button? Or go get yourself a piece of foam rubber cut to height and wrap around... Or put it in your beer cozy while you grind. Or hold it against that sofa arm you're sitting on and put a pillow against and push the button. There are ways to deaden sound without needing to reinvent this wonderful device. Jeez, let's get a good production run out of this version.
