June 3-I left early for a nap and then a fish fry at the apartment complex.
I checked on the cucumber vines and discovered fruit. One went home, one to Danny, three to Angelica, the clerk at Woodie's, and three more to Mohammed and his 80 year old father, Odnan.
I was active in the heat. I finished digging up the second blueberry hole. I started clearing dirt for what is to be a box for Earliglow strawberry plants next season. I cleared weeds from the beds, mulched, planted more Persian basil seeds, and watered.
A blossom appeared on the second Polish Model melon plant. The two that appeared on the first one have already exhausted themselves. I used a bird feather to tickle them in hopes of a successful pollination. They appear healthy.
