SDIG was founded by Tim Roberts, who's first company, Phantom Entertainment (Infinium) foundered, and he was sanctioned by the SEC for a P&D scheme on his own company's stock.

Another of Tim Roberts high-flying companies, Savtira, went bankrupt back in 2012.

Tim Roberts launched Station Digital, but he later discovered that FINRA considers him as a "Bad Actor", and balked at authorizing some of SDIG corporate actions. Roberts divested himself of most of his SDIG preferred, but later re-invested in it.

In 2015, Roberts was finally charged by the SEC over the Savtira fiasco, and Station Digital soon discontinued all its operations, such as they were. https://www.sec.gov/litigation/litreleases/2015/lr23339.htm
