please show me how u calculated eps at .0043 so can learn . thx

Wikepedia has a very clear explanation...

What is the formula for calculating earnings per share (EPS)?

Earnings per share (EPS) is the portion of a company’s profit that is allocated to each outstanding share of common stock, serving as an indicator of the company’s profitability. It is often considered to be one of the most important variables in determining a stock’s value, and it comprises the “E” part of the P/E (price-earnings) valuation ratio. EPS is calculated as:

EPS = net income ÷ average outstanding common shares

For example, S&P Global Inc. (SPGI), formerly called McGraw Hill Financial Inc., reported fiscal year 2016 net income of $2.11 billion and had 265.2 million average shares outstanding. Investors can calculate the EPS as:

EPS = $2.11 billion ÷ 265.2 million = $7.94

I took the net income, $1.5 million, from mCig's recent PR...

mCig, Inc. Announces (Unaudited) Fiscal Year 2017 Financial Results -- Best Year in Corporate History

- Net Sales increased to $4.5 million, a 158% increase year to year comparison, and a 1,294% increase for the 4th quarter compared to same period last fiscal year
- Net income of $1.5 million compared to a $1.4 million loss from the previous year, and an increase of $2.9 million net earnings
- Cash and cash equivalents of $1.6 million compared to $0.1 million from the previous year (a 1,369% increase), and a 400% increase from last quarter. mCig generated $2.1 million in cash from operating activities
- mCig assets increased to $6.8 million, having 6 times more assets than it does liabilities

We won't know the exact average number of common shares until we see the 10-K since it is an average count over 12 months. I used the share count from the 3FQ2017 10-Q as an approximation...

mCig 10-Q for 3FQ17

As of February 17, 2017, the Company had 348,385,509 shares of common stock

Consequently:

$1,500,000 / 348,385,509 shares = $.0043/share EPS

Yesterday's closing share price was $.165/share, so the PE (Price/Earnings) ratio would be:

$.165 / .0043 = 38.37 P/E ratio

Only a handful of other MJ sector companies even have positive earnings on which to calculate any PE. However, a PE above 40 is not uncommon in high growth companies and sectors. It depends on what the market expects earnings to be going forward. For that, we would need to estimate the profit for FY2018 and assume an average share count.
