Question on the Buy-Out Price Per Share

Others have already asked what a reasonable buy-out pps would be. Some have speculated that one of the reasons the stock is being shorted is to keep the buy-out price down.

However, if it is shown that Aldox is going to be highly successful, I would think that market forces themselves (despite the attempts of any shorters and any company wishing to buy out Cytrx) would drive up the pps.

Also, while I’ve seen estimates of a pps buy-out price anywhere from $2 to $6, naturally the value of the stock would depend on the efficacy of Aldox. However, if Aldox turns out to be truly a “wonder” drug and silver bullet cure, why would the pps be ONLY $6?
