Administrative Court dismissed the lawsuit brought by some residents and land associations against the construction of hydropower plants in Valbona Valley. The Court has decided to allow the continuation of construction, and clarifies that the issue will be examined thoroughly by the administrative court.
Valbona National Park since 28 September three hydropower plants (HPP) have fastened the building permit tables, adopted on 8 September and started work.
Excavators and workers continue to work for the construction of hydropower plants with a deadline September 28 2018.
The Albanian government has adopted over the last decade three concession agreements for the construction of 14 hydroelectric power plants in Valbona river and mountain streams that make up its drainage system.
