Apple Inc (AAPL)

AAPL sure is entertaining :)

As the gentle readers may recall, I sold all our AAPL back in August when the options thing was getting bigger in the news. Cost basis was 59.90, average selling price was 67.09, so I felt ok about that.

Started buying a bit back, as reported here. Now have a position that is about 45% of the size of the one I sold earlier, and the cost basis is 69.50. Last buy was today at 72.74. Holy Cow of Calcutta.

Iffen a phone or multipurpose hand-held gizmo comes out and/or iffen a home media hubba-bubba come along with it, then I am suspecting Apple will go up and up and up some more between now and January 2008 - as long, of course, as people have enough equity left in their homes to buy all this neat gee-whiz technology.

I'd like me one of them 24" iMacs, but not at this time - will probably buy again right before early retirement, assuming that is still something that happens in my lifetime.
