After more digging, I believe you're right. These are the lower speed models which at the moment is in production(smart cars which is slightly bigger than most).

We've all seen their Millet Ming Yang V3(500km/600km range vehicle).

So the new variant model that was discovered a couple of days ago must be the 330km range vehicle? I believe these will used for the taxi's...
