I remember the rush of buying an anticipated lp

No kidding. Way back in my dorm days, I couldn't wait for Bridge Over Troubled Water to come out. When the word spread that it was available at the student union book store, I braved the dark and bitter cold walking from the dorm across campus to get it. Victory. There were a lot of people in my room eager for a first listen. The album did not disappoint.
