Paullee, near the end of the article it says the demo device is available to companies and research groups, so I would venture to say the full specs are not commercial worthy at present time, your question on cost is important too, as I understand it, even silicon photonics has issues in scaling costs needed to get through Dr Lebby's purple brick wall 2018-2020, LWLG polymer photonics achieve this scaling however
