Yeah I think ERHC was desperately trying to convince people Tarach wasn't a dry hole, wasn't disappointing and that it had significant oil shows.

Fact is, it was ERHC who was forced to change their story and admit it was a dry hole many months after they knew the truth.

Once again we saw ERHC deliberately hiding material facts as long as possible until they were finally forced to tell the truth.

Apparently some don't believe it even after ERHC themselves admitted it. The exact same thing happened in the JDZ. Some still don't believe after 6 years that all that was found in those 5 dry holes was biogenic gas. Go figure.
