The big boy type step step is proof to me that 1 or more big boys want a major position without driving price too fast. This kind of accumulation scares retail because they think it has to retrace gains.
It will at some point, but for now is rock solid. (unless it bombs after this post..haha)

One strategy is to have a mental trailing stop at the 8 or 13ema depending on how much room one wants to give it. That way emotion is less involved.
Hindsight would also say that the strongest market structure support (longest VbP bar) was not strongly retested and therefore odds it was consolidating at $8 for more up were positive.
Not being critical just reviewing for my learning. Taking profits is always a good thing. Glad you have more still to take..
