It still surprises me sometimes that travelers don't realize they may be covered twice for the same item, and what happens if they cancel.

Two most frequent issues (not fully realized), IMHO, is what happens if you cancel, and what to do with issues outside the United States (terrorists, fire, ship sinks, et.al.).
An interesting item concerns your homeowners policy covering your personal belongings (items inside your luggage.)
